Side Insulation B Styrodur with Aluminum Foil
The insulation consists of a sturdy wooden frame filled with 3 cm thick PUR insulation, covered on both sides by a thick aluminum layer. This aluminum coating protects the insulation from being gnawed by bees and reflects heat back into the cluster. The insulation is non-absorbent and performs well even in the high humidity conditions of spring.
Usage:
For reducing bee colony size during winter or spring
For compressing the colony using the optimized brood method
For creating nucs (splits) and other applications
